Shopping for a caterer could be a frustrating experience. Most catering companies in San Diego don’t post any pricing information on their website, encouraging you to call them. At TOAST, our goal is to make your catering experience as easy and pleasant as possible. Starting from the shopping process, to the event planning, etc. Although in most cases, we work directly with our customers and custom design their menu, we believe that the following catering packages would help you determine how much you are about to spend on your next catering event in San Diego! Please note that the following prices is based on 50 guests (food only) and don’t include rentals (tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, flatware, etc.), labor fee, service charge and sales taxes. We have also included an estimate on rentals and labor cost to further help you calculate your catering cost.

Rentals & Labor Cost:
Rental cost is calculated on a case by case basis. It could depend on what your venue provides (if they do provide anything at all!) as well as your event needs. For a typical wedding, you should expect to pay from $14 to $25 per person (price calculated based on a 100 guest count wedding) for rentals. Rentals typically include tables, chairs, linens, napkins, glassware, flatware. Items such as a tent, dance floor, lighting, heaters, lounge furniture can be rented at additional cost. Plated dinner service usually increases the cost of rentals, since more china and flatware is being used. Most venues require that all rental items be picked up the night of the event. Rental companies in San Diego charge over $190 for late pick-up (after 10:00 pm).
 
Labor cost can also vary on the length of your event, how many guests you have, your bar needs and the type of service (buffet vs plated). You should expect to pay around $15/person for a buffet service (price calculated based on a 5 hour event for 100 guests).
