Toast Catering is a San Diego catering company providing fresh, chef-driven food cooked on site for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. Serving the San Diego community since 2007, Toast has built a reputation for thoughtful menus, reliable service, and a team that cares deeply about the guest experience.
Founded by Kim and Sam, Toast reflects the best of Southern California and the South of France. Kim, a San Diego native with a background in hospitality and merchandising, brings a strong eye for design and guest experience. Sam, born in Iran and a longtime resident of the South of France, grew up around vibrant food-centered gatherings that shaped his approach to cooking today.
Together, their influences inform Toast’s globally inspired menus and commitment to authentic, flavorful food. The team works closely with couples, planners, venues, and corporate clients to design menus that fit each event, guest count, and dietary need—delivering events that are seamless, professional, and memorable.
Our Philosophy
Our approach is simple: cook with intention, use fresh ingredients, and prepare food on site whenever possible. Menus draw from regional cuisines and global influences, but they remain grounded in authenticity and flavor. Just as important as the food is the experience. We value organization, clear communication, and seamless service so clients feel confident from planning through the final course.
